Homeopathy: Witchcraft or Pseudoscience?

Dr Tom Dolphin, deputy chairman of the BMA’s junior doctors committee in England, told the BMA Junior Doctors conference “Homeopathy is witchcraft. It is a disgrace that nestling between the National Hospital for Neurology and Great Ormond Street [Hospital] there is a homeopathic hospital paid for by the NHS…”

Eastern Promise?

There is a common argument advanced in favour of “woo”: that science doesn’t know everything and we shouldn’t put “blind faith” in our “Westernised, mechanistic science”, equating this with a kind of imperialistic stance against ancient knowledge (often imbued with “Eastern mysticism”).
