The Incurable Gonz Blinko: Americans and Guns
Back in March of 2012, I wrote a mostly satirical item for this blog called “Making Ourselves at Home” in which I state, with a false sense of pride, that we Americans invented spree killing and that it remains one of our national pastimes.
In the nine months since that article was published, America has experienced spree killings at a rally for a member of Congress, at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, a shopping mall in Oregon and, most recently, the horrific school shooting in Newtowne, Connecticut.

What ARE we frightened of David?
David Tredinnick recently gave an interview to Research Fortnight Today in which he sets out his support for alternative and complementary medicine and his intent to lobby for them on the Science and Technology committee at Westminster.
He also suggested that the attacks he receives for supporting nonsense are not because he is supporting nonsense but because scientists with “vested interests” are afraid of what he has to say. Continue reading
Burzynski: What kind of audit is it anyway?
It can be frustrating knowing that something is happening but not knowing exactly what it is or what it means. For critics of the Burzynski clinic knowing he is under audit but not knowing the details has been one of those frustrations.
