Skeptic News: UFO sightings warm up on Australian Gold Coast

Warm spring temperatures in recent weeks have brought a rise in UFO sightings across the Gold Coast region.

The flurry of alleged sightings followed an unusually busy winter for UFO Research Queensland with a significant increase in the number of sightings reported.

Among the most prominent close encounters of the first kind was of a “solid white light” spotted by a pilot driving through Broadbeach Waters at 4.10am on August 31.

This sighting matched similar reports from Robina, Lower Beechmont and Broadbeach during the same period.

Chairwoman Sheryl Gottchell said the most common factor in each report was noting that the objects frequently changed direction.

So do aliens prefer it when it’s warm and sunny?

Maybe not.

The reason for the increase in sightings has been put down to more Australians being outside at night.
