A Fort Mohave health business was raided by investigators with the Office of Inspector General, Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Drug Enforcement Agency last month.
Don White, spokesman for the Office of Inspector General in Washington, D.C., confirmed that his office and other federal entities did serve a search warrant on Oct. 23 on the office of Dr. Allen Stout Chiropractic in Fort Mohave. White would not say why the office was raided.
“What I can say is that the Health and Human Services are there to reduce fraud and increase the efficiency in the two largest programs nationwide: Medicare and Medicaid,” White said. “I can’t confirm what items were removed during the investigation or if an arrest was made.”
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Trish Carter said the sheriff’s office did assist with the search warrant.
The case remains under investigation with the OIG and Stout’s practice was still in operation Monday. We will update this story if we learn more.
