Skeptic News: Guru accused of rape

An Indian Guru has been accused of rape.

In India the Guru Nityananada may lose his Ashram after reports of “objectionable activities” taking place there not limited to the recent allegations by a US-based woman that she was sexually abused by him for five years. According to the article:

Nithyananda is already facing criminal charges, including rape, after a slew of complaints were filed against him in 2010 after some local TV channels telecast purported videos of the self-styled godman in a compromising position with an actress.

Protests have been staged, and effigies of Nithyananda have been burnt, calling for the allegations of sexual assault against him to be fully investigated.

The whereabouts of Nithyananda are currently unknown.
